About Darlene
I am a LCSW (licensed clinical social worker), RYT-200 (registered yoga teacher) and well-being life coach. I earned a Masters degree in Social Services from Bryn Mawr College in 2001, and have been practicing as an LCSW since 2004. I completed a 200 hour teacher training program through Power Yoga Works in 2006 and have been practicing as an RYT ever since. I have also received training through Mentor Coach, LLC. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and Yoga Alliance. My practice is located in Wilmington, Delaware.
My professional experience includes working with children, adults of all ages, and families who experience anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief, identity issues, impulsivity, life transition, panic, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns, sensory issues, stress and/or trauma.
I have completed an 11 month certification program in positive psychology with the acclaimed Harvard professor and author Tal Ben-Shahar through The Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. I enjoy sharing everything I learn and my expertise with my clients.
My Mission is to help my clients find happiness through structured therapy, wellness and life coaching so they can reach their fullest potential and become the best people they can be. I aim to help clients wake up every morning looking forward and feeling passionate about the day to come. Basically to help clients live life to the fullest!
Clients can expect to feel excited and motivated about changing negative patterns they identify in their lives into learning experiences, creating new ways to change these encounters into positive life experiences that nurture happiness.
